Fading to Black

What do you do
When it is all fading to black
And you want to stop that from happening?
You wish to put light upon the shadows that are casting spell
Onto what your heart had desired most
Once
And lived for a while, the fruits of its patience;
The feeling of wish-fulfillment had once generated
And had transgressed to the best of moments
That are still visited down the narrow lanes of memories
Around which the other memories lay inexcusably forgotten.
And yet what you seek, you have questioned it too,
Parting with it with a no face to return.
